The Tarlac State University Firefoxes secured a second runner-up finish after garnering 51 golds at the 2025 State Colleges Universities Athletics Association (SCUAA) Region III Olympics held at the Pampanga State Agricultural University from February 22-28, 2025.
After three consecutive years of placing third runner-up overall in the said regional sporting event, TSU made a significant leap this year, bagging 173 medals, of which 51 are gold, 64 are silver, and 58 are bronze.
Dr. Ligaya Gina S. Salangsang, Sports Development and Management Unit Head, received the award on behalf of the university during the closing ceremony on February 28.
Meanwhile, the Bulacan State University Gold Gears remains the overall champion with 101 gold medals, followed by the Central Luzon State University Green Cobras with 58 gold medals.
Moreover, gold medalists from the regional meet will advance to the 2025 National SCUAA Games this April 2025 in Camiguin Island.
The 2026 SCUAA III Olympics host will be the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, as announced during the closing program.
