The Tarlac State University community warmly congratulates Senator Joel Villanueva on his appointment as the new Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education (CHTVE).
Hon. Villanueva served as the principal sponsor and author of the Senate version of House Bill No. 9520, or the new Tarlac State University Charter, which lapsed into law in April 2022 by virtue of Republic Act No. 11695.
Known as the "TESDAMAN", Hon. Villanueva also served as the Chair of the Senate Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education Committee from 2019 to 2022, during the 18th Congress.
A steadfast advocate and champion of accessible, inclusive, and high-quality education, the university is eager to work again with Sen. Villanueva to continue TSU's development towards greater heights.
